World-class modern jazz with classical roots – presented for the first time in the unique atmosphere of the Bernapark, the new festival venue of the Piano Trio Fest!

Marcin Grochowina is one of the few concert pianists who, in addition to the classical repertoire, also master jazz and improvisation at a high professional level. With unconventional programs, such as a Georg Gershwin project and compositions from the Theresienstadt concentration camp, among others, Grochowina seeks to break through the specialization of concert performance and meaningfully connect the artistic gestures of composition and improvisation. His piano recital, "Classic meets Jazz," recorded by Südwestrundfunk, featuring works by Beethoven, Chopin, Ellington, and Miles Davis, received significant attention. In 1999, he participated in the concert "Menuhin for MUS-E" at the invitation of Sir Yehudi Menuhin. Through numerous projects like "Beethoven and Improvisation," "Miles to Mozart," and "Composition-Inspiration-Improvisation," Marcin Grochowina evolves as a pianist who 'builds bridges'.
