How does our perception of familiar music change when it is played on historical instruments? The concert opens in the Nydegg Church. New perspectives a special look at the sound world of the 19th century.
Midori Seiler, Pierre-Antoine Tremblay and Edoardo Torbianelli span a range from Clara Schumann's intimate romances to Brahms' famous horn trio and Carl Reinecke's rarely played trios, making different facets of romantic sound culture newly audible.
Natural horn, gut strings and a Bechstein grand piano from 1875 provide direct access to the original sound concepts of this music.
